A Venetian Night!

Last night I attended one of the city’s most beautiful and elegant charity galas … The Venetian Ball!

It was a spectacular event filled with glamorous people in Venetian masks (I almost torched my mask when a candle got a little too close to the feathers!) succulent Italian food and wonderful entertainment. Erin Davis was Master of Ceremonies along with wonderful performances from the Doo Wops (yes, they made fun of us Italians- it was bang on) and imported from Italy was heartthrob Italian sensation Patrizio Buanne who thrilled us with his musical performance.

This was the 14th year of the Venetian Ball that supports Villa Charities (our firm handles PR for this charity.) The charity is near and dear to my heart as it supports a number of culturally sensitive programs for Italian/Canadians, including the well renowned Villa Colombo, which provides residential long-term care for seniors.

This year we purchased a corporate table and invited some of our clients and their respective others to experience una notta da ricordare (A night to remember). We all had a blast. It was great to share this evening with some of my clients. I do so enjoy this part of PR agency life!

For those who want to be entertained, take in enough eye-candy to last a month and support a wonderful cause, please mark your calendar for next year and get out to this event. Call Executive Director of the charity, Laura Dal Bo, she’ll make sure you get a reserved table.

Al prossimo anno!

I would have loved to have been there. (Any excuse to wear an evening gown is a good one, right?) Sadly, I was on my way out of town. Maybe next year!
